Water Retention (1)
Dear Client,
I truly hope this finds you well and full of the joys of life!
When examining and evaluating bodies at our clinic, I found one common denominator in almost 80% of the female bodies: surplus water content, or what we like to call WATER RETENTION. Being such a widespread imbalance, it deserves an in-depth look at:
* what is water retention;
* what happens inside the body in case of water retention;
* what are the causative factors towards water retention;
* what are the tools to effectively remedy water retention.
Let’s first clarify what water retention means: every human body (and most living things and plants on this planet including the planet itself) consists of about 2/3 of water. The body, in it’s infinite wisdom, and if allowed to remain in a balanced state, will maintain this level naturally through various systems and organs. A healthy body will regulate the water content to always adapt precisely to any environment and circumstance, i.e. hormonal, environmental, etc. Therefore, a healthy water balance should never be interfered with through diuretics etc., since this interference will eventually become the cause of the water retention.
Water retention reflects an increase in the balanced water content of the body and has an effect on every single cell of the body, i.e.
· organs, tissues, etc. carry more water than is healthy for them.
· This in turn can affect the circulation which can result in heavy or swollen legs, feet and hands.
· Consequently, through a decrease in the circulation, less oxygen is being pumped to the brain which then slows down the thought processes.
· Water retention is often visible in the face, especially around the eye area.
As mentioned previously, the skin - being a mirror of the state of balance inside the body - will display a shiny and sometimes tight appearance. In advanced stages of water retention, the skin can become quite sensitive to touch.
Body weight is generally increased by between 1 to 3 kg above normal, which can vary according to the severity of the case.
Water retention, if allowed to enter a chronic state, will eventually result in “that heavy feeling” which gradually impairs the quality of life.
Not a nice picture, but a fact!
Now you may want to ask: what is the cause of the problem? And the answer is simple: water retention is a self-inflicted condition and always indicates mismanagement of the most precious possession in life - the human body!
The New Millennium has brought the energy of empowerment to mankind which is a very precious gift. It opens people’s eyes to the realisation of the immense power in each and everyone of us and of how much more powerful we can become, once we accept responsibility for our actions. To this end, we shall examine the most popular tools presently applied to cause water retention in our next Newsletter.
