Water retention (2)
Dear Client,
I truly hope this finds you well and full of the joys of life!
In our last newsletter, we covered the many symptoms of water retention, which is one of the most common imbalances of the human body.
Now, let's look and one of the causes of water retention or surplus water content and get empowered towards eliminating the symptoms. The most common ingredient towards water retention is SALT. The chemical name for table salt is sodium chloride. For the cook who adds plenty of salt to the meal in the kitchen and then, in addition, places the salt shaker on the table, let me give you some food for thought:
Salt contains SODIUM which is to a great extent the cause for High Blood Pressure, not to mention being responsible for the high rate of heart attacks and strokes. In the USA, according to latest statistics, 50 million people are suffering from High Blood Pressure. Medical Aids in Europe are battling with the ever increasing costs of treating this disease. In South Africa, this insidious killer disease is suffered by 15 percent of the adult population.
What does Sodium do inside the body? Bearing in mind that every substance supplied into the body affects EVERY single cell of the body, Sodium has one major effect on the system: it constricts every cell of the body. It affects, among others,
· the nervous system,
· the vital arteries,
· the bronchial tubes and
· the all-important kidneys
hence the water retention. By constricting the arteries, the heart becomes subsequently affected. Sodium can have an unbalancing effect on people suffering from Bronchitis, Asthma or Sinusitis.
In addition to table salt, Sodium is of course also contained in most salted/ smoked foods, i.e. bacon, peanuts, biltong, pickled fish, etc. etc. Furthermore, plenty of non-salty items claim high counts as well: meats, artichokes, cheese, tinned soups, tomato sauce, horseradish, mayonnaise and celery, etc. Add to these surprising sources the table salt you dash onto prepared dished and you can see why Sodium overload is a common dietary danger.
An unbalanced body will crave salt in any form, i.e. salty biscuits or crackers, potato chips, salted nuts, smoked fish or meat – the list is endless. In order to restore balance and eliminate the water retention and any other symptoms, here are your empowering tools:
Embark on a professional de-toxification programme; you may want to follow our in-depth guidelines contained in our book: "MAGIC STEPS TOWARDS A SLIM BODY AND HEALTHY MIND" available on www.bodyclinic.co.za or send Email to kontakt@balance-center.at
Make it your mission to reduce your Sodium intake to absolute minimum, i.e. use an absolute minimum of salt when cooking; remove salt shaker from the table; check labels for sodium content. Drink 8 glasses of water per day – every day – to eliminate surplus Sodium from your body. Foods may initially be somehow tasteless, but here is the good news: it will only take a couple of days until your body has carried out the necessary adjustments to your cells, including your taste buds. Thereafter, you will be surprised how delicious various foods actually taste. And, the most important benefit for you will be that once your body is balanced, the cravings for salty foods will completely disappear!
